SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON – November 9, 2020
As provinces and territories begin to re-evaluate their approaches to Covid-19 as the second wave of the pandemic sweeps across much of the nation, Indigenous businesses are playing an important role when it comes to helping communities, businesses, and governments keep their citizens, workers, customers, and all Canadians safe by providing access to essential personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies. Now, a new website has brought these businesses together under one roof.
The Covid-19 Indigenous Supplier Database, an initiative of the Indigenous Business Taskforce, which is comprised of several national Indigenous organizations, is a new online portal that bring together Indigenous suppliers who answered the federal government’s call to businesses to either manufacture or supply pandemic supplies.
As a supplier of PPE, and having worked with Indigenous communities and businesses, large corporations, and governments to provide PPE over the past several months, eSupply Canada Ltd. applauds this new initiative, the work and advocacy of the Taskforce, and is excited to be a part of the database.
Steven Vanloffeld, eSupply Canada Ltd. Founder & CEO, said the company is committed to supporting communities’ efforts to keep their citizens safe. “Our international supply chain and national distribution routes means that we are consistently able to source, supply, and deliver high quality PPE to our customers regardless of where they are. When communities need help we’ll be ready.”
Some of the supplies eSupply offers includes masks, gloves, sanitizers and disinfectants, safety glasses, goggles, thermometers, gowns, body scanners, touchless dispensers, hands dryers, water fill stations, and door openers.
