Steven Vanloffeld Discusses Buy Indigenous Report in Toronto Star Interview

Founder and CEO of eSupply Canada, Steven Vanloffeld, was recently interviewed by the Toronto Star for an article titled: "Shift to ‘buy Indigenous’ could add as much as $1 billion to First Nations’ economy, report finds."

In the article, Vanloffeld highlights the importance of Indigenous procurement and its potential to significantly boost the First Nations' economy. He states, “Within many Indigenous communities, there were few businesses who were able to keep the flow of capital circulating and generating income. So as a result, you have to go outside of the community to purchase the supplies to operate.”

The report suggests that redirecting procurement spending towards Indigenous businesses could lead to substantial economic growth, enabling investments in education, healthcare, food and beverage stores, and other vital social infrastructure.
